Excel Brand Marketing was tapped by First Entertainment Credit Union to assist with brand recognition and guidance through navigating high-level sports partnerships. The Brand Marketing team worked diligently to negotiate and secure two partnerships that aligned well with First Entertainment Credit Union’s goals and objectives. The partnerships between First Entertainment Credit Union, the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis solidified the brand’s commitment to helping the financial literacy of the Los Angeles community.

Leveraging the Lakers partnership, the Brand Marketing team called on seven active players to amplify the launch of the Lakers branded debit card. The team procured the talent and developed a strategy that employed the player endorsers to create social media content while in the NBA bubble. The social media content was parlayed with a new 30 second broadcast spot that aired across Spectrum Sportsnet during the Lakers playoff games.

The team also drew up and executed a 6-week-long sweepstakes for fans that signed up for the card to be automatically entered to win a limited-edition kit, including two tickets to attend a future Lakers game and an autographed jersey. #exceling
