The golf world has been buzzing since the completion of Tiger Woods’ first public golf course design, Payne’s Valley Golf Course at Big Cedar Lodge. What better way to commemorate the grand opening than by raising $1 million for charity with a made-for-TV event? Excel’s Events & Hospitality teams did just that with the Payne’s Valley Cup, which aired on the GOLF Channel and featured Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas taking on Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy for a round of 19-holes. Yes… 19 holes. It’s not your average 19th hole either. Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus even joined the group for the closest-to-the-pin competition. Check it out:

Fans watching the event from home had an all-access pass, as each golfer was mic’d up, which led to engaging conversations, friendly banter and strategic insight all caught on tape for viewers. At the end of the day, Tiger and JT were named inaugural Payne’s Valley Cup champs and took home the trophy!

The Events & Hospitality teams hosted guests on-site, establishing and enforcing safety protocols while still providing unique behind-the-ropes experiences for brand sponsors and select VIP guests.

The $1 million raised benefited the Payne Stewart Family Foundation. #exceling
