New York – Dec. 15, 2020 – Excel Sports Management, a leading sports management and marketing agency that represents iconic talent, brands and properties, will be expanding its reach with a strategic minority growth investment from Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Shamrock’s experience in the sports, media and entertainment sectors aligns perfectly with our vision for growth,” said Jeff Schwartz, President and Founder, Excel Sports Management. “We have built an incredible team of people at Excel and this investment will allow us to leverage Shamrock’s strategic advice, add resources to amplify our offerings and execute on the tremendous opportunity we see in the sports and media landscape.”

“We are very excited to partner with a team that represents some of the most sought-after and exciting talent and brands in the world,” said Mike LaSalle, Partner at Shamrock Capital. “Excel understands the power of talent today and, importantly, has a clear vision of how talent will increasingly transcend platforms in the future. We look forward to helping Jeff and his team build the agency and execute upon this forward-thinking, strategic vision.”

The agency’s brand marketing division provides full-service sponsorship support including strategy, advisory services, activation and measurement to many of the top brands in the world.
